Camera batteries (and other batteries) can drain quickly if they're left out in the cold. I learned this tip from a fellow climber on my Kili trip: take the batteries out of your camera at night, put them in a ziploc bag (along with any spare batteries) and sleep with them inside your sleeping bag. Other climbers on my trip who didn't do this found that they ran low on batteries before summit day!
